February

February was alot of fun. Hayden had a great time filling out Valentine Cards for his classmates at school and then getting to pass them out at his party. I remember last year at this time filling them out for him b/c he wasn't old enough to care, but fast forward to this year and he wanted to spend time decorating each one for each of his friends. It's amazing how much they change from 2 years old to 3 years old! We made a trip to the Frisco Stonebriar Mall to pick up baby sister's bedding and had to make a few trips around the carousel. Hayden carried quarters in his pocket for 2 days before our trip so he could pay for his ticket! Little did Mom and Dad know it costs like $2.00 per ride! But, Hayden was a trooper while we shopped (and so was Daddy), so they both got to ride the carousel a few times! Hayden helped Aunt JoJo blow out the candles on her 28th birthday cake!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather riding our bikes with friends at the Barwise track. I couldn't believe how many times Hayden and his friends rode around and around without tiring. The mommies enjoyed sitting in the stands visiting and watching the racers!
Ready, set, go!

January

January was a month of big celebration. Hayden turned 3 and we celebrated with his friends with a dinosaur dig at River Bend Nature Center! Although the weather was cold and rainy, the kids had a great time digging for dinosaur bones and checking out all the cool bugs, etc that the Nature Center houses. Our field guide gave a very informative tour and then it was time for presents and CAKE! Hayden's sitter, Miss Connie, made Hayden a volcano cake and it was a hit. He talked about his "bolcano cake" for weeks! Here are some pics from the party. (Thanks to our personal photographer, Geri, for capturing all the fun!)There were some BIG bones in the sand to dig!

The birthday boy next to his volcano cake!

Hayden helped Emma celebrate her 3rd birthday too!

On Hayden's actual birthday, David and I took him to play miniature golf. He really enjoyed it (although he thought the higher the score, the better!)

And I had to throw in this picture of Hayden and his cousin Katelyn. He just loves her!

2010

Wow! I can't believe it's already 2010. Here's what's going on with us lately...
David is still working for his dad at Standard Pipe. He really likes it and especially likes the hours (after working in retail so long and never being home on weeknights and weekends). I'm currently working 3 days a week at my job at the oil company. Once this 2nd baby comes, I'll be a full time stay at home mommy. I'm really excited about it, but a little nervous. I mean, I've had a job since I was 15! I know I'll have a very busy job with 2 kids, but it's definitely going to be a change of pace for me. It's something I've known I wanted to do for a long time, but we're finally at the point where we have our credit card debt paid off and can manage our monthly budget better. I'm so thankful that David supports me in my decision to stay at home. I think it's going to be a very good thing for our little family. Hayden is about to turn 3 in 2 weeks. That's just crazy to me! It seems like just yesterday he was learning how to walk! Now, he walks, talks (alot), bosses everyone around, rides his bike, harrasses the dog, and and then asks 100 questions. And that's just in one day. Whew! Time definitely goes by much too quickly!

I'm currently 17 weeks along with my 2nd pregnancy. We went down to Denton on Thursday, Dec 31 for a sonogram. Camie's co-worker, Kristin, was gracious enough to do our sono so we wouldn't have to wait until the middle of January to find out what we're having. We're so happy to report that the baby looks great and we're having a GIRL! It's a little shocking, I have to say. I really assumed we'd just have another boy since that's what we know. But, this is definitely a good surprise and we're all really excited. Hayden has been telling me he wants a sister since we told him he was going to be a big brother. And I think he'll make a super big brother. Last night in the car on the way to my Mom's house, he told me that when the baby gets here, he's going to "hold her in his lap and rock her to sleep." So sweet!! I can't wait to see him as a big brother!
Here's a few pics from the last couple of months.
My goal in 2010 is to be better about updating this blog!

Happy anniversary and a little surprise!

Dave and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on October 1st. It was pretty uneventful, just a quiet night at home with Hayden, but we enjoyed every minute of it. Our lives are about to pick up speed though. Just a few days later, we found out we're expecting baby #2! Hayden is telling everyone he is going to have a sister and we're naming her Katelyn. (I'm thinking he really doesn't understand this whole baby in the stomach thing... haha) But, I'm sure soon enough, he'll figure it out!

I have confirmed with a blood test, but we don't have my first appt til Nov. 4. I calculated my due date on Babycenter.com and came up with June 10th. But, I'm curious to see what Dr. Lamar says after the sonogram he does at the first appt. So, stay tuned! (-:

Waiting for Katelyn's Arrival...

Jodi's friends at Cells-U-More threw her a luncheon baby shower last Friday. Toby got to join us. (He said it was the first shower he's ever attended. haha)But, it's been a while since we've all had a picture together, so I had to post!

Yvonne at the Basketcase did some baby belly casts of Jodi and then painted this one to match Katelyn's room. Too cute!
This one is also of Jodi's belly but they also included her arms. Creepy! hee hee J/K Jodi!
If you're wanting a belly cast of your prego belly, the Basketcase(http://thebasketcasewf.com/) is the place! Yvonne is so talented!

PS - If you want to see pictures of Jodi's belly (and Brian too), hop on over to http://campcasa.blogspot.com/
Only 3 weeks left til Hayden gets to meet his new little cousin!
