Wow! I can't believe it's already 2010. Here's what's going on with us lately...
David is still working for his dad at Standard Pipe. He really likes it and especially likes the hours (after working in retail so long and never being home on weeknights and weekends). I'm currently working 3 days a week at my job at the oil company. Once this 2nd baby comes, I'll be a full time stay at home mommy. I'm really excited about it, but a little nervous. I mean, I've had a job since I was 15! I know I'll have a very busy job with 2 kids, but it's definitely going to be a change of pace for me. It's something I've known I wanted to do for a long time, but we're finally at the point where we have our credit card debt paid off and can manage our monthly budget better. I'm so thankful that David supports me in my decision to stay at home. I think it's going to be a very good thing for our little family. Hayden is about to turn 3 in 2 weeks. That's just crazy to me! It seems like just yesterday he was learning how to walk! Now, he walks, talks (alot), bosses everyone around, rides his bike, harrasses the dog, and and then asks 100 questions. And that's just in one day. Whew! Time definitely goes by much too quickly!
I'm currently 17 weeks along with my 2nd pregnancy. We went down to Denton on Thursday, Dec 31 for a sonogram. Camie's co-worker, Kristin, was gracious enough to do our sono so we wouldn't have to wait until the middle of January to find out what we're having. We're so happy to report that the baby looks great and we're having a GIRL! It's a little shocking, I have to say. I really assumed we'd just have another boy since that's what we know. But, this is definitely a good surprise and we're all really excited. Hayden has been telling me he wants a sister since we told him he was going to be a big brother. And I think he'll make a super big brother. Last night in the car on the way to my Mom's house, he told me that when the baby gets here, he's going to "hold her in his lap and rock her to sleep." So sweet!! I can't wait to see him as a big brother!
Here's a few pics from the last couple of months.
