Ok, so I haven't been keeping up with this blogging thing like I thought I would. I'm a terrible procrastinator and always wait until the last minute to do everything! haha I promise I was better before Hayden came along, but now it seems like I'm doing good if I can just pay our bills on time! haha
Hayden turned 8 months last week - he's crawling everywhere, has learned to pull up and climb on boxes, coffee tables, etc. We have one of those little cars that converts to a push toy and he's starting to figure it out. Last night, we had him pushing it for about 3 steps before he fell over - that's a huge milestone! haha My poor baby needs a helmet - he's constantly falling over, bumping his head... poor thing! I'm a klutz myself, so I'm hoping maybe he got his dad's genes in this area so once he learns to walk, we won't have anymore bruises!
Happy Tuesday!

6 months already!
Ok.. its been 2 months since my last post, so I must update on my baby boy! He's already 6 months old, 18 lbs and 29 inches! He's sitting unassisted and learning to crawl!
Today at the sitters, he sat up from laying on his belly all by himself - I must say, when they told me the good news when I picked him up at 4:30 pm, my heart sank a little. I mean, I'm super excited that he's progressing and learning to do things on his own, but a part of me thinks that I should be the one who sees all of these 1sts, not my sitter, you know? I have huge guilt already about working and leaving him with a sitter. Most days it doesn't bother me, but today it did. I really envy all those women out there who can stay at home full-time with their kiddos. Not saying that part of me doesn't still want to work - but the bigger part of me wants to be home, raising Hayden.
I've made it a resolution of mine to start budgeting our months better... to see just how much we can save and also, if it would be feasible for me to stay home. I really want to be able to do it with our 2nd child - which is still 3 or 4 years down the road. I really admire women with more than one child - mine is a handful!!!!
We had dinner with Camie and her family tonight at Samurai. Camie is the one friend from HS that I really miss. We have such a great connection and I hate that she lives 2 hours away. I hope that we still keep in touch through the years like we always have... I truly value having her in my life. Speaking of cute babies, Carson is getting so big and Camie says he's crawling everywhere... a part of me can't wait for Hayden to take his first steps, say his first words, etc... but another part of me wants him to stay little - is that wrong? (-:
I'll leave you with a few pics from last weekend... we went to the lake with the Viavattenes. Had so much fun and got some sun! We also went to the waterpark on Monday with Steph, Dana and their kids. Again, lots of fun and sun. Being a mommy is awesome!

Hayden at 4 months

I cannot believe that he is already 4 months old! It just seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He's grabbing at everything and putting EVERYTHING in his mouth! He hates laying on his back - always wanting to stand up or sit up like a big boy (with assistance of course!) He loves his exersaucer and DOES NOT like sitting his his car seat (he arches his back every time we put him in it!)
We have his 4 month appt on May 25th and I'm hoping that the dr wil think he is advanced enough to start foods. He's currently eating us out of house and home. I've started supplementing with a couple ounces of formula in each bottle because he's so hungry! Growing boy!
