Cousins sleepover

We sure do enjoy having Katelyn over for sleepovers!  She and Hayden are the best of buds.  Hayden said we should swim in the backyard since Kate was over, so we did!  We'd sure love to have a real pool (hint hint Daddy haha) but this little plastic one will have to do for now!  The kiddos had a great time playing in the water while David and I enjoyed a few beers on the porch.
Gonna miss these summer nights!

I'm thinking this pool might be too small for all 3 kiddos by next summer!

Parker preferred her own pool... haha  She had the best time pouring water over her own head.  Silly girl!

Phoebe enjoyed Parker's pool too.  She was a hot dog from chasing the ball.  Poor girl... she's getting so old!

This lasted for about 30 minutes.  I kept hearing, "Kate, stop kicking me!"  "Hayden, move over!"
Kate ended up on a pallet on the floor and all three kiddos slept all night until 8am.  My kind of sleepover!

Rocking Chair

Parker loves her little rocking chair that my aunt painted for her for her 1st birthday.  She likes to sit in it and watch her favorite Nick Jr show, Bubble Guppies.  She's also recently learned she can climb up in it and stand up.  Luckily, she panics when she gets up there and gets our attention to get her down instead of stepping off thus far.

She looks like such a big girl in this picture!  Where did my baby go?  (-:

Ranch Roundup

Mrs. Connie took the kids to the Texas Ranch Roundup's kids' events Friday morning and asked Parker and I go to with them.  What a great FREE event for the kids!  They each got a cowboy hat, got to ride horses, a mechanical bull, make lassos and feed all different kinds of animals at the petting zoo.  What a fun day!  We'll definitely go back next year!  Here are some pics I took of Hayden and his friends.

Poor Jackson held his nose for the first 20 minutes we were there... it was a little stinky!

Hayden loved feeding the animals

That poor bunny... he had it turned upside down first, but finally got it turned the right way.  What a calm animal!

Kelby liked the bunnies too!

Sweet cowgirl Addi

The mechanical bull was a hit with our kids.  I think we stood in line for over 30 minutes to ride.  The kids were so patient!

Kate Kate is 2!

Katelyn turned 2 August 19th and we helped her celebrate her birthday at the IP Splash Park!  The kids had a great time eating pizza & cake and swimming all evening.

Happy Birthday Katelyn!
Parker had so much fun playing in the water.

Katelyn loves the slides...

And so does Hayden!

Soccer!

Hayden is playing soccer this year for the first time ever.  He's so excited to have his friend Hunter on his team, the U5 Tigers!   The team is made up of Hayden, Hunter and 4 other little boys - Paxton, Leighton, Ethan & Braydan.  David is coaching this year and we have started having practices once a week.  Hayden isn't a big fan of practice, instead he keeps asking me when the "real game" is.  haha  Here are a few pictures I took at our first practice.  Go Tigers!

A Night at the Races

We always have a such a good time at the races at Red River Speedway!  The kids love watching the cars race (and checking them out in person at intermission).  Also, Mrs. Connie's son, Cameron, races out there so the kids love cheering him on!  The races don't start til 8, so it's cooled off a bit and makes for a nice night outdoors.  Here's a few pictures from our last night at the races.
Kelby LOVED Parker's pink headphones I got her

Steph and her kiddos always take such good pictures!

And the daddies always have fun visiting and having a few beers

The kids were so excited when Cameron won his race!  Mrs. Connie even got them out on the track to have their picture made with him and his checkered flag.  What a great night!
