Big Girl

Parker isn't a baby anymore!  She's into everything and really enjoys using Hayden's Pottery Barn chair.  She loves to climb on it (and usually tips it over backwards) as well as use it to reach things she shouldn't be touching.  haha  Here's a few pics of our big girl in brother's chair.

Carson

We just love Carson.  Camie and Jeff came in town before their trip to Colorado and needed to run some errands so Carson came over to play.  Hayden and Carson don't see each other nearly enough since Carson and his family live in Denton but they always have so much fun!

Busy 4th of July!

I love the Fourth of July - such a great holiday to spend with family and friends!
Hayden mastered the diving board at the CC pool

Parker dressed in her red, white and blue too

The Jones family always throws a great 4th of July swim party - cute kiddos in their super soft lifejackets!

The 4th wouldn't be complete without snowcones at Mia & Jimmy's!

Mini-vacay with the Viavattenes!

At the end of June, we took a mini-vacation to Dallas with Dana, Joey and Reid!  We left Parker with my mom and they left Maren with Dana's mom.  Hayden and Reid were in heaven to be only-children again.. haha  We started off our day at the Dallas World Aquarium.  It was a lot of fun and nice to be indoors.
Hayden's favorite was the penguins... we even got to see them eat fish!

We were all amazed at how big the manatees were
We ended our day by taking the boys to a Rangers game.  David hooked us up with some great tickets on the 3rd base line.  Everyone was having a good time until the 3rd inning when the boys decided they were bored and wanted to go home... haha  But, they stuck it out with the help of peanuts, sugary drinks and souvenir 18-wheeler trucks from the gift kiosk.  (-:

The Viavattenes
Our mini-vacation was great until we woke up the next day at the hotel and walked downstairs to our vehicles.  Someone decided that my leather bag laying in the floor board was too tempting and smashed out my drivers side rear window.  Argh!  Luckily, I had taken my wallet and everything important out of it and up to the game with us, just didn't take the bag because it was too big to carry into the game.  It was a long hot ride back to Wichita Falls.  Luckily, we stopped in Denton and let Jeff tape and cardboard it up so it wasn't as bad as it could've been.  He did a ghetto-fabulous job!  Thank Jeff!  Thanks also to the Viavattenes for staying with us while we filed a police report and cleaned up the glass and to Yoshi at Patterson's for getting my glass fixed so quickly.  I could've gone with out the break-in but we still had a great time!

Our home away from home

Our a/c went out in our new house so....
For 2 whole nights, we got to camp out at the Homewood Suites.  We enjoyed their yummy breakfasts, swimming in their indoor pool and jumping on the bed!  The T/O golf tournament was in town the same week and we had a heck of a time trying to find a room in town.  Fortunately, the nice people at Homewood Suites had one room left (the Presidential Suite) and gave it to us a the regular room rate!  How we got so lucky I'll never know.  Maybe just called at the right time.  Either way, Hayden loved staying at the hotel and asks me weekly when we can go stay there again.  haha

She's on the move!

Parker is all over the place!  She's walking more (unassisted) and pushing everything around the house.  Unfortunately for Hayden, this means she can make her way into his room and to his toys more easily now... haha  Oh, well, I think it's probably payback for all the times he's played with her toys up to now!

Preschool End of Year Celebration

Every year, Mrs. Connie (Hayden's preschool teacher) holds an End of the Year Celebration.  She recognizes each of the kids for the good things they've done/learned throughout the year and has a special graduation ceremony for the kids that are going to Kindergarten.  The kids love it and we love Mrs. Connie for doing it and loving our kids so much!

One more year and we'll be celebrating Hayden going to Kindergarten.... I can't believe it!
Hayden & Hunter patiently waiting to receive their certificates

Hayden got 2 certificates this year... he was so proud!

All of the kiddos with Mrs. Connie.  Congrats to Kelby, Jackson & Meagan!  They're headed to Kindergarten!
