Little red wagon

Hayden's been dying to go for a wagon ride, but with all the snow lately, I've been putting him off.  Monday, it finally got a little warmer and most of the snow had melted, so off we went!  Parker really enjoyed it too.  I have a feeling we're going to get alot of use out of this wagon this summer (-:

SNOW!!!

We got a ton of snow at the beginning of February.  Hayden was in heaven!  It was soooo cold though.  Negative wind chills and lots of wind accompanied this storm so we had to wait a while before we went out.  And even then, we could only stay out for about twenty minutes before we were freezing.  Just the weekend before it was 70 degrees!  Our weather is crazy lately.  Here's some fun pictures of time in the snow!

8 months!

Parker is 8 months old.... crazy!  She's so close to crawling, I just keep thinking everyday she's going to take off.  She wants so badly to keep up with Hayden so I think it won't be long now! 

Hayden's 4th Birthday

 Hayden turned 4 on Jan. 16.  Its hard to believe that 4 years has gone by so quickly!

Hayden, we are so lucky that God picked us to be your parents.  You're such a sweet big brother to Parker and you have a huge heart, always showing concern when someone's feelings are hurt.  You love trains, trash trucks, golf, swimming, and swinging and playing with Phoebe in the backyard.  You love having coffee at Mia's, picking on Katelyn, building with your trio blocks and helping Mommy and Daddy with everything.  You are such a good helper!

Here are some fun pictures from his birthday party.  We had it at the Aquatics and Wellness Center pool.  The kids had a blast swimming and celebrating Hayden's big day!

Christmas

We had a wonderful 1st Christmas with Parker.  She and Hayden got everything they wanted and more and we had a great time celebrating with our family and friends.  Hayden did great when we went to visit Santa and Parker even sat on his lap!  Hayden told him he wanted some trains and to get Parker some baby toys.

Lately...

Bad blogger here.  I can't help it.  Having 2 kids has turned my world upside down (for the better of course!)  We're so excited to celebrate Parker's first Christmas this year.  Hayden and I made a construction paper link chain to count down the days to Christmas so he's excited every day as well when we take another link off the chain!  Here's some of my favorite pictures from the last few months.

Big Brother Hayden

David and I so blessed to have such a sweet big brother for Parker.  Hayden has stepped up and gone above and beyond to take care of his new baby sister.  Yes, there have been times where he has complained that maybe she cries too much, but all in all, he just adores her.  He's always asking if he can hold her so I can take their picture.  (Which makes me super happy b/c I love taking pictures anyways, and I can't think of two cuter subjects!) 

He sings twinkle twinkle little star and abc's to her, he talks very quietly to her to calm her down when she's upset, and he's always offering to do anything to help me out with her (getting a diaper, getting her pacifier, helping me feed her, etc).  Funny story - the other day, a friend of mine was holding Parker and made the comment that "she's so sweet, I just wanna take her home with me!"  Hayden got very concerned and looked up at me and said, "Mama, Parker's going home with us!"  haha

I was always worried about how Hayden would handle having to share the spotlight.  I mean, afterall, he was an only child (and only grandchild!) for almost 3 years.  But, he's handled it extremely well and we couldn't be prouder of him.  He's a super big brother.
