Christmas 2008

We had an AWESOME Christmas and Hayden was beyond spoiled! haha He got a train table from Santa, a Black & Decker workbench (complete with noise-making tools!) from my Dad, a trampoline from David's parents (which Mommy is really enjoying too!) and a shiny red tricycle, complete with streamers and a bell, from my Mom. Santa was also very good to David and I!

We attended alot of fun Christmas parties (The Jones' always do it up right!), enjoyed plenty of family time and the spirit of the season. We all also really enjoyed the Christmas Eve candlelight service at Colonial. Hayden clapped his hands, swayed to the music and I even caught him singing along a few times. (He also really enjoyed the lit candle!)

We're so blessed and really looking forward to making many more good memories in 2009!

Merry Christmas!

The best gift ever...

Hayden is going to have a little cousin come August - that's right, Aunt JoJo and Uncle Brian are having a baby!!! We're so excited for them - babies are the best gifts in the world. Congrats!

Nice weather, pretty leaves and cute kids

I just love this time of year... the leaves are changing and everything looks so pretty. (Yes, I know... in a few short weeks everything will look dead! But, let's enjoy it while we can... haha)

My friend Stephanie and I took the kids to play in the leaves today. Since we live in a fairly new neighborhood, we have no trees, thus no leaves. So, my friend Jana was nice enough to let us come play in hers! Here's some pics we took today - we had so much fun!

Kelby is the best leaf-thrower I know!

So proud...

Hayden's not much of a talker. Oh, he says plenty, but we have yet to understand what most of it is. haha But, this morning, he said a 3-word sentence and I understood it completely!
What, you ask, did my almost 2-year-old say?? This morning, as we were getting ready for school, he looks at me and says, "I ju bur!" (I just burped!) I was so very proud (and laughing alot inside).... it's days like this that remind me how much I love being his mommy!

Hayden's Tree

Hayden got his own tree this year for his room. I bought a little 4 ft lighted one at Wal-Mart and let him pick out all of the ornaments (shatterproof, of course!). He had so much fun decorating it and everyday after school he runs to his room to turn on the lights on his tree. He likes it so much he wants me to turn it on again every night at bedtime so he can look at it when he falls asleep. haha
Before decorating....

And after!

Don't you just love the holidays!?!?!?!

Thanksgiving 2008

This year for my mom's side Thanksgiving, instead of turkey, we did a Mexican fiesta at my aunt's house. We had enchiladas, rice, beans, the works. And to top it all off - a pinata filled with candy for the boys! Hayden & Garrett had so much fun trying to hit the "Cars" star to knock the candy out. In the end, the dads had to lend a hand - they make those things kid-proof!

Yes, David almost lost an arm holding the pinata so Hayden could hit it... haha

Don't worry... the Reeds got plenty of turkey this year. Oven roasted turkey at David's parents and then a fried turkey at my dad's sister's house. Yummy!
