Nice weather, pretty leaves and cute kids
I just love this time of year... the leaves are changing and everything looks so pretty. (Yes, I know... in a few short weeks everything will look dead! But, let's enjoy it while we can... haha)

Kelby is the best leaf-thrower I know!

My friend Stephanie and I took the kids to play in the leaves today. Since we live in a fairly new neighborhood, we have no trees, thus no leaves. So, my friend Jana was nice enough to let us come play in hers! Here's some pics we took today - we had so much fun!

So proud...
What, you ask, did my almost 2-year-old say?? This morning, as we were getting ready for school, he looks at me and says, "I ju bur!" (I just burped!) I was so very proud (and laughing alot inside).... it's days like this that remind me how much I love being his mommy!

Hayden's Tree
Hayden got his own tree this year for his room. I bought a little 4 ft lighted one at Wal-Mart and let him pick out all of the ornaments (shatterproof, of course!). He had so much fun decorating it and everyday after school he runs to his room to turn on the lights on his tree. He likes it so much he wants me to turn it on again every night at bedtime so he can look at it when he falls asleep. haha
Before decorating....
And after!
Don't you just love the holidays!?!?!?!

Thanksgiving 2008
This year for my mom's side Thanksgiving, instead of turkey, we did a Mexican fiesta at my aunt's house. We had enchiladas, rice, beans, the works. And to top it all off - a pinata filled with candy for the boys! Hayden & Garrett had so much fun trying to hit the "Cars" star to knock the candy out. In the end, the dads had to lend a hand - they make those things kid-proof!

Don't worry... the Reeds got plenty of turkey this year. Oven roasted turkey at David's parents and then a fried turkey at my dad's sister's house. Yummy!

Jackson's Birthday & City Lights Parade
We celebrated Jackson's 3rd birthday with him at Chuck E Cheese. Hayden doesn't much care for the dancing mouse or the rides. He was really only interested in the pizza, cake and skee-ball. (And by skee-ball, I mean chunking the balls as hard as he could up the lane - we didn't hit many of the holes. haha!)
Jackson had to get a lift to blow out all of his candles. (-:

After Jackson's party, we headed downtown to the annual City Lights parade. The weather was nice (not too cold!) and the kids really enjoyed the parade. I think Hayden liked everything except the police sirens. Every time the motorcycle cop would hit his siren, Hayden would jump out of his skin! The downtown merchants do a great job with the parade and we'll definitely go back next year! This is the best group shot of the kids I could get.
